Bedford region Development Corporation | |
The Bedford Development Corporation (BDC) got underway in March 2001. The purpose of the Corporation was to pursue the work started earlier by the Manpower Adaptation Committee (CAMO - Comité d’adaptation de la main d’œuvre), to implement its various recommendations and supervise the development activities throughout the region. The mission of the Development Corporation is to promote, coordinate and oversee the harmonious development of the community and its environment so that it may blossom and prosper economically and where people will enjoy living. Four main areas of intervention are targeted: Business & industry, tourism, agro-food and community involvement. With respect to the commercial and industrial development of the Region, it is worth mentioning the key role played by the Regroupement des gens d’affaires de Bedford et Région. This dynamic association, founded in March 1999, counts more than 50 members. The BDC considers the Regroupement as one of its most precious partners. |
